FDATA brings 2nd Annual Global Open Banking Summit to Edinburgh

The Financial Data and Technology Association (FDATA) is to host its 2nd Annual Global Open Banking Summit in Edinburgh in December.

FDATA is a trade association which works directly with government, regulatory authorities and financial industry stakeholders in its mission to open up Britain’s financial sector to the benefits of financial data and technology.

FDATA Global Chairman Gavin Littlejohn said:

“The 2nd Annual Global Open Banking Summit will bring together key regulators and policy makers from around the world to discuss and debate the delivery of open banking with a line-up of the most influential speakers in the world.

“The format of the two-day summit has been designed to encourage collaboration on standards and set the agenda for best practice while influencing decision makers and regulators to establish the tone for the open banking movement globally.”

Key themes of the two day summit include international progress on open banking, a spotlight on what happened during the UK implementation, regulatory challenges and obstacles, and harmonising technology and security standards. In addition, delegates will be invited to review the Blueprint for the Global Open Banking Standards.

The summit will also include the inaugural Open Banking Awards which have been created to recognise excellence in providing innovative financial applications and services to empower customers to make better decisions and take fuller control of their financial lives.

The two-day summit is being held in Edinburgh’s iconic McEwan Hall on 6 & 7 December with the awards dinner hosted by the National Museum of Scotland. For more information on how to attend the summit and details of the awards visit www.fdata.global/summit.
